I. PURPOSE & OBJECTIVE

This Driver & Agent Code of Conduct establishes the ethical, professional, and operational standards required from all drivers and agents working with or on behalf of Ridelo-Ehailing (Private) Limited (“Ridelo”).

This Code is designed to:

  • Ensure passenger safety and trust

  • Promote professional service delivery

  • Prevent misconduct, fraud, and abuse

  • Maintain the integrity and reputation of the Ridelo Platform

  • Ensure legal, financial, and ethical compliance

This Code applies to:

  • All registered drivers

  • All onboarding and operational agents

  • Sub-agents and field representatives

  • Any person acting on behalf of Ridelo in a service or recruitment capacity

Acceptance of this Code is mandatory for continued association with Ridelo.


II. PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT & BEHAVIOR

1. Respectful Conduct

Drivers and agents must:

  • Treat all riders, colleagues, and partners with courtesy and respect

  • Communicate politely at all times

  • Avoid confrontational, aggressive, or abusive behavior

  • Maintain calm and professionalism under all circumstances

Harassment, verbal abuse, intimidation, or threatening behavior is strictly prohibited.


2. Non-Discrimination

Drivers and agents must never discriminate based on:

  • Gender or gender identity

  • Religion, sect, or belief

  • Caste, race, or ethnicity

  • Disability or health condition

  • Age, nationality, or region

  • Economic or social background

Service refusal or altered behavior based on personal characteristics is strictly forbidden.


3. Sexual Harassment & Misconduct

Ridelo maintains zero tolerance for:

  • Inappropriate comments, gestures, or jokes

  • Unwanted advances

  • Physical contact without consent

  • Stalking or intimidation

  • Sexual messages or calls

Any such behavior will result in immediate suspension and legal escalation where applicable.


III. SERVICE DELIVERY STANDARDS

1. Ride Acceptance & Completion

Drivers must:

  • Accept ride requests in good faith

  • Not cancel rides without valid reason

  • Follow GPS routes honestly

  • Complete trips without manipulation of distance or fare

  • Not refuse passengers based on location, gender, or personal bias


2. Passenger Safety

Drivers must:

  • Operate vehicles safely and lawfully

  • Ensure vehicles are roadworthy and clean

  • Never drive under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medication affecting alertness

  • Ensure seatbelt use where required

  • Cooperate in emergencies


3. Prohibited In-Vehicle Conduct

Drivers must never:

  • Carry illegal items

  • Allow unauthorized passengers

  • Smoke inside the vehicle during a ride

  • Engage in political, religious, or offensive discussions with passengers


IV. AGENT RESPONSIBILITIES

Agents must:

  • Verify driver documents truthfully

  • Never onboard fake, underage, or unfit drivers

  • Never submit forged or tampered documents

  • Disclose accurate driver, vehicle, and background details

  • Refrain from collecting unauthorized fees

  • Avoid misleading drivers regarding earnings, incentives, or requirements

  • Protect personal and financial data obtained during onboarding


V. FINANCIAL INTEGRITY & ANTI-FRAUD

Drivers and agents are strictly prohibited from:

  • Fake ride generation

  • Fare manipulation

  • Wallet abuse

  • Referral fraud

  • Cashback or incentive exploitation

  • Collusion between drivers, riders, or agents

  • Use of stolen payment instruments

Any financial misconduct will result in:

  • Immediate account termination

  • Forfeiture of earnings

  • Blacklisting

  • Legal action


VI. DATA PROTECTION & CONFIDENTIALITY

Drivers and agents must:

  • Protect passenger personal data

  • Never share phone numbers, addresses, or ride details externally

  • Never record passengers without consent

  • Never misuse in-app communications

  • Maintain strict confidentiality of platform information

Any data misuse will result in immediate termination and legal enforcement.


VII. UNIFORM, IDENTIFICATION & PLATFORM USE

Drivers must:

  • Maintain a clean appearance

  • Display approved identification where required

  • Use only their own registered device and account

  • Never rent, sell, or share their account

Agents must:

  • Use only authorized Ridelo systems

  • Never operate through unofficial platforms


VIII. INSPECTIONS, AUDITS & MONITORING

Ridelo reserves the right to:

  • Conduct vehicle inspections

  • Audit agent onboarding records

  • Review call logs, GPS, and transaction histories

  • Monitor driver and agent activity in real time

Failure to cooperate with audits is a policy violation.


IX. REPORTING OBLIGATIONS

Drivers and agents must immediately report:

  • Safety incidents

  • Accidents

  • Harassment complaints

  • Fraud attempts

  • Platform glitches affecting fares or wallets

Failure to report serious incidents may result in disciplinary action.


X. DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS

Depending on the nature and severity of misconduct, Ridelo may impose:

  • Verbal or written warnings

  • Temporary suspension

  • Mandatory retraining

  • Financial penalties

  • Permanent termination

  • Blacklisting

  • Legal action


XI. ZERO-TOLERANCE VIOLATIONS

The following result in immediate permanent termination:

  • Sexual harassment

  • Physical assault

  • Payment fraud

  • Fake ride operations

  • Identity falsification

  • Drug or alcohol use while on duty

  • Data theft or leakage


XII. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Ridelo shall not be responsible for:

  • Personal disputes between drivers and passengers

  • Loss resulting from negligence

  • Actions taken in violation of this Code

  • Criminal acts committed by drivers or agents


XIII. POLICY UPDATES

Ridelo reserves the unrestricted right to modify this Code of Conduct at any time. Updates will become effective upon in-app or website publication.

By registering and operating as a driver or agent on the Ridelo Platform, you confirm that:

  • You have read and clearly understood this Driver & Agent Code of Conduct

  • You agree to comply with all its terms

  • You accept that violations may result in suspension, termination, and legal action
